Hey Everyone,
As I posted in the introduction section I am new to the forum. I like to share idea's and spark conversations. I enjoy other peoples opinion. Although I am new here I have been tinkering in Real Estate for quite some time. I have had my ups and downs as I am sure most of you have. But they all are learning experiences. Through the years I have had the opportunity to explore different real estate venues. Internet Marketing has always been of the greatest interest to me. I am in no way proclaiming to be some internet genius here. We all have our specialties. It was not until more recently that I turned everything up a notch. I guess those of us in this profession need to be creative and thrifty during a down market. I am a member of some internet marketing forums that are phenomenal. After about 2 months of hanging out in the forums, asking questions I enhanced some basic knowledge about Internet Marketing and learned a whole lot about Search Engine Optimization. You have heard the term content is king, well write articles. I wrote 2 articles specific to a real estate niche. And here are the Google Rankings after 7 DAys Results 1 - 10 of about 12,300,000 for XXXMY KEY WORDS. (0.15 seconds) I could not believe it. All I did is write some good quality content specific to my niche in Real Estate..submitted it to an article directory and am #3 on Google out of 12,300,000. Keep it simple. Try to avoid information overload. Ask great questions. Keep listening and you can achieve it. Cheers Sean McAlister |

Are you saying your site ranked in 7 days, or the article site? Was your site brand new, or has it been around for quite a while and you just noticed an "increase" in search engine rankings in 7 days?
Either way, articles are a great way to get your name out there and build links, they are a cornerstone of the REW SEO program as well - thank you for sharing Out of interest, what was the keyword?

Here is a good list: http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/thread21794.html

I was skeptical about the power of article writing myself. However, my first article has brought in three outside clicks to my site and has potential for link building. This is more then enough motivation for me to get the next one done.

Sean,
You made a big claim, and some will question if the claim can be supported. The easiest way to support your claim is to post the keyword that went to the #3 position in just seven days. We can then verify the claim and congradulate you on the great work.

If you look at his URLs this looks like a spammer...

Aaron,
Let me be CLEAR> I am not a spammer. If I were I spammer I would not take the time to write out a post and share a success story. If you look at one of my blogs.....you will notice a link for my construction company as well as other resources. Of course there are some affiliate links. The other blog site is a resource center for eBooks and specific information To answer other questions: The Ranking was a result of an article that I submitted to ezine articles. The article has a link to my real Estate Blog. The traffic has soared as a result of this. My blog is about 8 months old. But as I said, I have been in the dark with certain SEO tricks until recently. Other directories are Article City and go articles (this answers the question to where may you submit) To assume and make comments about people is laughable. This goes along with a post I have in another forum about selling.. Part of peoples problem with selling is that they jump to conclusions and make their mind up about a client before they get to know them. This prohibits their ability to understand their client and effectively get the right product or service in front of them. The results are usually measured by a poor sales performance. If you would like to see examples of spam check out the Free Ad Forum. Sean |

I think after being on these forums long enough to make 3 posts, it is somewhat presumptive to think that you need to point out to these members what SPAM looks like. The members are not interested in "SEO Tricks" either. While we are all open to exploring benefits of article writing it is somewhat odd that you were not willing to share the keywords for us to examine your claim. Are you selling some knowledge that is SEO related? If so, you might be violating the TOS of the forum. If not, then get on with it and quit the teasers - it will either be credible or debunked - white hat, grey hat, or black hat. There is no use wasting time of readers tooting your own horn without disclosing what it is. And what is all the talk about "Clients", "conclusions", "products", and "services". Who is the "Client" in this thread and who is "Selling". Aaron and other moderators get to read all kinds of garbage and soon learn to read between the lines. After 3 posts you should not be attacking him, he is usually right when he calls the kettle black. Now is your chance to appologize and share something of substance with the group or not. You will earn your accolades by gaining trust and participating here. If you are sincere, you will enjoy, learn something, and get to share and will be welcomed. Welcome to REW!
