You will need an accounting solution in addition to a Contact Management solution (eg the taza's reomaestros', etc.) A true accounting software has controls (checks and balances) on the money paid tied to the money owed. A modified QuickBooks(r) solution is a verified method to manage your finances. When it is set up properly (which takes some skill), and you balance the account(s) you will have the accuracy you need. Brokers who get up to 100+ properties are using a QB solution, and any broker with about 15 + properties should get started so that they remain in control with a proper system as they grow.
As you have probably noticed, using Excel doesn't have those checks and balances. Manual entry of the "owed" money (receivables) against the "paid" money allows too much room for error -- forgetten entries, deletions, no reporting. You can look at the REO Broker Turnkey, www.reobrokerturnkey.com, for information on managing your receivables. |

I have personal experience with Taza and do not recommend it as an REO software. It is a difficult program to use, runs slow and each task has too many steps. In addition Taza is difficult to deal with, they do not live up to their commitments at all. There are better companies to work with!

Anyone tried eBrokerHouse.com yet? Ive been using it for awhile now and I love it.
Ive tried most of the others out there and eBrokerHouse is as everybit as good for managing REOs and is much more user friendly than anything else Ive seen. Plus you can manage all of your other traditional listings, short sale listings and manage all of your buyers as well. Its a full real estate business management system. Plus their price cant be beat. Its only $29.99 a month for unlimited listings, unlimited sub users on your account, unlimited document storage, etc. You cant beat that. Also the owner of the company answers the phone when you call and they add features all the time based on user requests. For instance they just added an awesome offer submission feature that allows buyers agents to submit you offers directly into your account through the MLS. If your looking for a great system thats affordable, this is it. |

Paul this must be you. I"m sure you remember me. I'm not here to argue or bicker with you. Please don't be upset because i'm voicing my opinion based on personal experience. You're right, there are a few good programs out there. I just didn't like yours. No biggie, plenty of agents out there that want to pay monthly fees for dormant inventory. Oh, by the way, you're absolutely correct the fees i quoted are inaccurate....they were slightly higher.
No hard feelings..have a great week! REO K |

REOKING I especially like your quote "only web-based software." Are you referring to "only google" or "only the world wide web" !?! LOL wow.... I'm not only impressed by your blatant misconceptions but also dumfounded by your intelligence. Good luck, your going to need it…..

WOW! I have been out of the loop (you know managing my REO). Like I said, every agent has to pick the software that fits their team the best. For me it's Maestro. So ya, I am probably biased. For someone else it may be another software application. Do your homework.
I haven't seen ticker or taza, I have no need to look elsewhere. Maestro is affordable and it does everything I need it to. My team loves it. Fair to say, we couldn't live without it. I said it before, I will say it again, it is the best REO software out there! My opinion. |

Hi REO King,
food for thought. I can't see asset managers having the time to logon to agent portals/websites/software (call it whatever you like). they usually work with 50-100 agents, have their own portal/website/software and if they work for an outsourcer they have all of their client's portal/website/software to update. I came across maestro because it was part of banks vendor applications. they gave me immeidate preferred status when I subscribed. and it is easy for me to keep my preferred status because of this application. again, that's my $.02. |

I know that Maestro gives you preferred status with 3 asset companies. Do you mind sharing which once? Thank you

I am just after hearing about a new program called iAgent, http://aspeniagent.com/ , and it is supposed to be an excellent web-based software. Apparently it's new and directly competing with the Taza REO software everyone seems to use. Has anyone heard about it? Would you recommend it?
