I'd say once a month from my experience.

Wouldn't most people say two simple things to consider is Google likes links, and Yahoo likes keyword rich urls?
I am sure a lot of other things go into it, but I have noticed those two stand out.

I think if you mainly focus on optimization for G than Yahoo will follow naturally. It did for me.

Yahoo likes b tags vs strong. Thats the only optimization I do in regards to yahoo. I put more emphasis on google.

Try the yahoo paid inclusion. I believe that it costs something like $29.

I'm told that it helps Google rankings to pay for a Yahoo directory listing, and other paid directories too. I'm surprised by this. Maybe there's another thread for this question.

@Del Mar Home Pro - The Y! Directory listing has been debated a number of times in regards to it helping your G! rankings.
I have noticed that my efforts in trying to rank well for G! has naturally helped my rank well in Y!. I am on page 1 for a lot of my KWs in Y! and still trying to get there in G!. |

When I look at the results for major real estate keywords in Yahoo, I see several things over and over again:
1) Yahoo's own real estate content is at the top 2) Big national real estate sites do well 3) Keyword rich domains with decent optimization do well Rarely do I see a site that does well in Yahoo and Google and MSN. Interestingly, the new Bing/MSN seems to be getting closer to the results in Google. It's almost like you have to have a keyword rich domain in order to rank well in Yahoo's real estate results. I'd be interested to see if anyone knows of any 'major city real estate' keywords that don't follow this pattern.
