Do you have any examples on Twitter posts being cached and ranked on Google for meaningful KW's? I have personally never seen that happen.

You have to think beyond your site and think of your twitter profile as another web property. You are both smart and I don't need to spell it out - take a look at my profile @cgjerdetu and really look at it with something like SEO toolbar. I haven't intentionally built links but it's starting to rank.

I have close to 1000 people following me so I don't really feel I have the ability to fully test everything out these days. It does seem random if something get's indexed from twitter - but I did go through one day and a lot of different phrases and individual posts did seem to get indexed.

I do understand how to use twitter in the pure social sense, I am just trying to figure out how to get the added benefit of SEO. I have been using Twitter for more than 2 years now, granted, I took 9 months off because I got tired of people telling me every single little thing they were doing

You don't think an additional property for a competitive keyword phrase is an SEO benefit - if that profile hits page 1 for G?

Nashville homes may be too competitive - but take it to a juicy midtail term - could rank for it easy w/a profile name.

I wish I could change my profile name, but I registered it 2 years ago before I ever thought Twitter would become anything other than a hobby.

You can change your display name - I wouldn't change the user name - but people do that as well - it's in the settings - account tab.

Twitter is now being useful for marketing online of any kind of business, create your business an account and just get lot of followers so that you will have users to track your account.

I have twittered my website address and it has been posted on people's blogs or websites and then indexed by google when it scanned the blog\website.
