I think the recent hiring of Qi Lu, former Yahoo top search executive, to take position as president of the online services group for Microsoft will prove to be huge benefit to MSN's search going forward.

I've read several news articles about Lu over the last few days and everything that I've read have been very positive. He pretty much has been at the steering wheel for Yahoo's search function. My guess is that MSN should be able to eat away at Google's dominance in search very soon, or at least in the near future.

I find it easier to rank on MSN than Google, but MSN only provides a small percentage of traffic. I work for Google rankings and MSN (and Yahoo) tend to do even better without 'trying' to rank for them. Go figure.

MSN is till good for those people using the internet explorer address bar to search for keywords. It sends them to a msn search for those keywords.
