SCP, I am not sure what bookmarking does other than puts your stuff out there and hopefully brings traffic and maybe a link back. I have concentrated more on writing and submitting to actual sites. Maybe SEOgerry can point out the benefits.

cleo - maybe worth splitting an 'article' down in to 2/3 individual posts on your own blog, with each one covering a slightly different keyword variation of the main article keyword that you may be targeting.

this has worked really well for me and helps me to be much more organised when writing stuff for the web.

it also, because you break it down, helps you to not get as bored as you would writing one long piece of content.

I agree it's a good idea to break it up into several shorter posts. Long posts drag on like novels on the Internet the same way a 14 minute long video feels like hours (yeah Fred Thompson, you know who you are!!).

Thanks Jambo, sounds like a good idea. Do you still post the the whole article? If yes, do you post the article or the several shorter posts first?

regards the article, cleo....for example:

lets say the article title is Property in Cyprus, you could split it down not necessarily in to 1 article split in to "part 1", "part2" etc, but "property in cyprus", "luxury property in cyprus" and "coastal cyprus property". this way you can cover 3 lots of keywords as you would have no doubt mentioned those things in a general article about "property in cyprus".

Jambo nailed that one on the spot. One of the common writing techniques used to create multiple articles in a flash by many seo writers.

I have had good success with Poting them on my blog and once Google Alerts - alerts me to my post being indexed I will submit to some article sites. That way G knows that the origional content was on your blog.
