Has anyone here purchased and utilized domain names targeting foreclosures in your area (ie; Gilbert Foreclosures Dot Com?)

not a bad idea, but seems like most of the good domains centered around city foreclosures were taken some time ago. still would not hurt to find one that works and build specific site around foreclosures, esp if you would like to specialize in this niche.

I just checked and my area was taken. However, this does sound like a good idea for a stealth type site. You could use a form that when they sign up you will capture the lead and email out a list.
If anyone has tried something similar to this I would love to know the response as well.

I have a MyCountyforeclosures.com web address.
In addition to having that , I bought 100 bandit signs to promote it. I only got out something along the lines of 15 signs, but those 15 signs proved pretty darn effective. From the $10 website and the $15 worth of signs I planted, I've recieved about 40 leads or so.

kind of on topic - Where does "townS real estate dot com" rank on everyone's best domain list. First place, i guess, being townreales tate.com w/ no s. Any difference for google with adding the s?
same as "areaSrealestate.com" Last edited by AugustaREGroup; 12-16-2008 at 10:41 PM. |

Having a good domain name makes all the difference when marketing your website to Search Engines and Directories. This seems an interesting topic to discuss on awaiting for more such comments on the topic.
