I host my own Wordpress blog and have the XML-Sitemap. I happened to be looking at the options and it has a box that is unchecked that says "Notify YAHOO about updates of your Blog" and the following 3 are checked:
Notify Google about updates of your Blog Notify MSN Live Search about updates of your Blog Notify Ask.com about updates of your Blog I am curious why by default the Yahoo one is left unchecked and should I check it? and in order to do that it makes me request an Application ID. Any help? Thanks!

Michael,
Instead of going through the process of getting an application ID I recommend signing up to Yahoo SiteExplorer and adding your sites. For each site you can add as many feeds as you want. Don't forget to authenticate your sites by adding the y_key metatag. You will find this in the SiteExplorer left menu once logged in, under the site url. Once you have the y_key value you can use "HeadSpace2" or the "Robots Meta" plugin to easily add the key to your meta. If you don't want to play around with metatags you can also authenticate via uploading a small authenticate html file to your site.
