OK Donna and I are booked into the Coast Bastion Inn and I told Holly to ding me for the tickets to the Conference. We are flying into Vancouver and taking the hop over to Nanaimo.

After the conference we are going down the coast to San Fran for a few days there before going back home.

I look forward to seeing you guys there. Donna and I have not been to the West Coast at all so we are really excited about the trip!!

Need some information please, which I can't find it in the search:

How to get from Vancouver airport to the harbor to take the seaplane or a ferry? I think I need to go to Tsawwassen to get a ferry to Duke Point yes?

I thought I saw a post with hotels on the island.

Is there a post yet that has only this information: hotel, flights, ferry?

Might be helpful to sticky it and have no one post to the thread since this thread is getting so long and I'm getting confused and lost LOL.

Trying to confirm my final reservations for getting there.

I am burning Delta sky miles from Atlanta to Vancouver on a non stop and then I am taking a plane with Air Canada from Vancouver to Nanaimo for $40. I booked it last night. I cannot imagine anything else would be cheaper than that.

Could be a hang glider for all I know but maybe it will get us across the water.

You may already know this but if you're going that way be SURE to reserve a spot on the Port Angeles to Victoria shuttle well ahead of time. I drove up an hour early and was told it was sold out and had to wait over four hours for the next one. Here's the blog I wrote with tips and links for taking that route:

If I make it back this year I might consider taking the pedestrian ferry from Seattle to Victoria and just renting a car there. Has anyone done that?

Got my flights: Arriving the 29th in BC @ 11:00 am.

I still need info on getting to the Tsawwassen ferry to go to duke point and from the duke point to the Days inn (yep, I'm going cheap).

How far is the Days Inn from the festivities, do I need to rent a car?

I'm scheduled to leave the 1st (actually the 2nd but it's a 5:30 am flight so I'll stay over in vancouver the 1st).

Do I need to reserve the ferry, or is it first come first serve?

Excited about meeting everyone and contributing what I can.

Very sweet - My airfare out and back is like that but the flight down the coast to San Fran is expensive and the hotels are a little pricey. If I wasn't bringing Donna with me I might try it on the cheap too but it will be a great vacation for us.

I was hoping Jennifer would come as well, but it's her busy season and she doesn't want to take the time off.
