Great to hear that you will be attending Don, nice to have some local folks heading over to Vancouver Island. All of the travel plans taken care of? If not, flip over to the REW Summit main page and take a look at the "Important Links" and "Travel & Accommodation Info" sections near the bottom.

Is there a head count at this point? Wayne and I are excited about the trip!

Hello Ryland, Thanks for checking. I have a reservation at the Coast Bastion Inn and the rest is easy for me I am driving in (a one day drive). If you hear of someone wanting to split a room I would be happy to do that - I got a room with two double beds just in case. When the dates get closer I will figure out the Ferries. I look forward to seeing you there.

Have a Great Day!

The Coast Bastion is a great location downtown, always nice to be looking at the ocean right out of your window (or at least when you step out of the front doors of the hotel...).

Watch out for the ferries, they have been unbelievably busy the past few years. Yes, no kidding. Reservations are always a safe way to go in the summer, or travel very early or late in the day.

Donna -- I don't have a head count in front of me at this time. We are looking forward to having you and Wayne here for the conference... are you ready to show off your LEC #2 and discuss what has been working well for the site?

Great opportunity for those that use one of our LEC sites, being able to discuss what has worked and what ideas everyone has to improve visitor conversion or better handle Leads via our CRM solution.

Don't forget about the unveiling of the "Enhanced Lead Manager" during the summit. Our CRM solution is growing -- and getting even stronger.

paid Holly
flight lax => vancouver arrive 11:43am
taking bcferries twassen to dukepoint 3:15pm wednesday 7/29/09 arrive Nanaimo ~5:15pm 7/29/09 (or leaving horsehoe bay at 3:10pm)
(might do a seair floatplane at 1:30pm or 4pm for the experience and time savings...)
staying at HoJo
Summit
leaving bcferries 8:15pm friday 7/31/09 dukepoint to twassen arrive Vancouver ~10:15pm friday night 7/31/09
(or leaving departure bay at 7:30pm/9:35pm)
leaving back to LA from Vancouver airport 6:30am 8/1/09

seattle is a cheaper flight (lax to seattle only $189 roundtrip on orbitz vs. $331 lax<=>vancouver) choose vancouver because getting from seattle to Nanaimo is approximately 5 hour car ride, renting car offsets the savings of cheaper flight plus more time lost sitting in a car when you could be sightseeing or working. Flying from seattle to Nanaimo is expensive ~$398 kenmore air, plus small planes make me even more nervous than big ones...

I found this and got excited but they don't operate on tuesday or wednesday and their last bus leaves to early (4:55pm) on friday 7/31

(if you have different travel dates this may help you)
when I called Pacific Coach the rep suggested public transportation (http://tripplanning.translink.ca/hiw...=iTripPlanning) but that seemed really confusing...

http://web.viu.ca/cclr11/TRANSPORTATION/Motorcoach.htm (more info)

need to finalize easiest/cheapest/most accomodating to my flight schedule method of getting from Vancouver Internation (YVR) to ferry terminal and from Ferry Terminal to my hotel in Nanaimo (which I actually know how to pronounce now ! nuh-nie-mo

Looking forward to the summit

I'm leaning towards flying to Seattle on Wed., the 29th, taking a bus from Seattle to Vancouver, taking another bus from Vancouver to the Horseshoe Bay Ferry, taking the ferry to Departure Bay - hope I can get a taxi to HoJo that late (around 9:05p.m. arrival time).

I would want to go home Saturday or Sunday, Monday at the latest. Anyone traveling around those times to hook up with? Air fares are getting higher by the day and I have to book soon or wait until next year.
