I just spent about an hour composing a blog entry in my backend and when I pressed the button to post it, got the following fatal error:

Fatal Error: Call to undefined function creatLink()
in /var/www/vhost/dwellutah.com/httpdocs/backend/pages/blog/entries/add.php on line 36

Of course my blog entry was lost. Live and learn: compose blog entries in an outside text editor first and then copy them to my blog editor for posting.

Any idea what happened? When I tried to add a short blog immediately after this failure, the blog added just fine.

Hi Ron,

That is interesting ... the function is called "createLink" ... so the error message "should" start like this...

Fatal Error: Call to undefined function createLink()

I couldn't find anything in the code that called creatLink() ....

The only other thing I can see is that since it took an hour to write the post up then it's possible that your session timed out and then some reason that made the function not exist. Anyway .. I added some code to attempt to fix this - for sure copy and paste the post in case it happens again - if it does then let us know and we'll take another look.

I went back and checked my printout of the error. Unfortunately, I mistyped the word create. The error message should have read:

Fatal Error: Call to undefined function createLink()

Sorry if I sent you down the wrong path.
