Off topic, but Morgan the slide transition on www.just4real.com where it goes from blur to fine focus is really cool!

This is the first time I have even looked at Bing, but in checking my rankings I have to say I really like Bing. They seem to like my site.

Just checked my Analytics and in the last 2 weeks they have sent 1.75% of my traffic.

What is interesting is that Analytics seems to view Bing as a website rather than a search engine. I say that because rather than Analytics showing results like "google / organic" or "yahoo / organic", it shows "bing.com / referral" like it would show "twitter.com / referral", "realestatewebmasters.com / referral" or any other website.

Since today is the first time I have even looked at Bing and so far only for a total of about 5 minutes, just long enough to see I rank well on it <grin>. Is Google just in denial, lol? Anyone have an idea why analytics is showing results in this manner?

We have gotten some great leads from Bing. Microsoft has always had a good conversion ratio but the traffic has just been bad. Hopefully that starts changing with bing.

I'm starting to rank well on Bing. Top 10 for a few major keywords.

Does any one know what will get Bing bots to stay at my site and index some pages? My site only launched a little over a month ago and Bing has only the home page indexed while Google has nearly 1900 pages indexed.

My Bing traffic is around 5%. One interesting thing is Bing visitors spend the second longest time on my site, first is Yahoo visitors.

I have similar results, Bing is currently 4% of my search engine traffic and has the longest time on site, the most pages/visit and lowest bounce rate with Yahoo in second.

Of course I have a theory.... Because I rank well on Google for so many things including MLS #'s, listing addresses, and anything I have written a blog post or on a page, it only makes sense that I would have a higher bounce rate on G and less average on-site time.

For example I have a page about a local river that I not only rank high for, but I actually got a call last weekend from someone wanting to know if it was safe to raft in a certain area. I told them I'm a real estate broker and I'm not sure where you got my number. Their response was that they found me on the internet and thought I would know, lol. So because my website is an authority site on G for so much, it's not always what someone is really looking for and thus I get a higher bounce rate and less pages/visit, but definitely a ton a traffic.

Where on Yahoo and Bing I also rank real well, but not for nearly as many long tail visits. So the traffic from them are more focused on fewer more specific keywords to relevant content resulting in a higher percentage of visitors that found exactly what they wanted.

Great point Dennis! The long-tail results on Google are a lot more specific and targeted for just that one topic. Reviewing my Analytics last night I was getting discouraged looking at my bounce rate for G!. Then I remembered about all the long-tail hits I receive. If people are only interested in one very specific term you will see a much higher bounce rate. Where my entry KWs for BING and Yahoo are much broader RE terms.
