Success to me is about growth and balance. When setting our yearly goals - Donna and I set goals that involve:

1) Health - weight and fitness
2) Spritual growth - like quiet time, church service, etc.
3) Business markers - transactions, volume, website SERPs
4) Education - Designations, etc.
5) Fun - Travel - like trips planned for the year
6) Sports - like becoming a better tennis player

So ..... we want to grow our business while growing as individuals. As long as we are growing - I think we are successful.

I think of success in terms of achieving my goals. I think all of the above answers are valid and applicable but for me i want to set my own goals and surpass them - in life, in love, in business.

my definition of success would be similar to bonoko's in that if you are happy with the end result then what you have done has been a success rather it turned out the way you planned it to or not

The health and happiness of my family is first! That alone is 90% of my success.

I have not yet made a great living in real estate, but it has been my goal since I got out of high school to be financially independent, to not have to punch a time card, and to make my own schedule and my own money.

I knew then that it would have something to do with real estate, but at first i was just gonna buy investments. After a few investments I decided to get my license.

Every once in while me and my wife will be driving down the road whether it be to Wal-mart, or to something that involves our business, I will look over at her and say, "you know, most people in the world had to punch a time card about 2 hours ago" Thats when I realize I have reached my goals, maybe I am not at the income level I wanted to be at yet, but I am on my way.

I guess my point is, its isn't always about money (can help but...) its about realizing you are where you wanted to be in life.

If you can pay your bills, are doing what you love, can save a few bucks for a rainy day, have great relationships in your life and your friends/family are healthy and happy you are there! Breath it in!
