I don't think there has been any extension yet.... It does look like the bill that passed the Senate will make it all the way.

It is not a sure thing though.

This was sent to me by one of my clients last night. Apparently, the home needs to be under contract by April to qualify and they are expanding a $6,500 tax credit for people who have lived in there homes for over 5 years. Apparently, Obama hasn't signed it yet.

I hope it gets extended in terms of time as well as eligibility. I hear that second time home buyers could get a break as well depending on some of the circumstances. Married with income of up to $250,000

NAR is on top of this, but we need ALL agents to be responding to those Calls for Action!

Also, do not listen to the news. FOLLOW THIS DIRECTLY! This is OUR business, we do not need to find out what is happening in our industry from TV news or internet blogs. WE should be the source of that info to the public.

As far as Veterans, I am not aware of anything specific to them other than through the VA.

I haven't heard anything concerning the VA, but that would be welcome too.

Looks like there is going to be a 7 month extension with a $6,500 credit for some current homeowners.

Will be good for our industry.

Signed by both the House and Senate. Obama should sign it by today or tomorrow. Really good news for Arizona!!

Ij ust heard that the provision was attached to a bill that the president signed today. I am looking forward to learning about the specifics of it! In particular the move up credit.

NAR started an e-mail blast to everyone at 9am this morning. If you do not have the details yet, go to the Right Tools Right Now section at Realtor.org
