Default Re: who links to me

Larry, that sounds like a great count. I find I have much less than that but because of my link building am moving up in the serps. I suspect there is some ever changing ratio in their algo that we have to keep trying and adding different components to see. One of the more vexing, but probably good things is that any changes only get indexed once a month more or less, at least on my site. So what I do today I won't see the results as effective or ineffective for awhile. Then others may make changes to their site. We don't truly know if what we did advanced up and what others may have done may have regressed then.

I do believe that the links and strengths of the the links are important. Probably as much so is having some distribution of link strength within the site. After I have gotten my main page to rank for a key term or two I have been building KW specific pages and need to link those to other site to drive them up. I am beginning to believe that the 5 mile long first page that you had, had merit based on the linking and KW's that it has. I am finding as I search and see what terms I do come up for and others that I am no where to be seen and wonder why. If I add a sentence or two on the subject I think I am going to start showing up for the search term. Then I have to start working on the individual page and see what I may need to do to change the title tag and see what I need for links on the page.

I have found pages don't seem to count for alot on a site, at least on mine. I think the links are the primary algo, content. I have seen pr4's below me and pr2's above me.
