Instead, I use pay per click and last year started paying for the Yahoo directory. Now my site is in Yahoo but still pretty sad rankings.
Two things are working for establishing a presence on Yahoo. One is my blogging on REW. My REW blog shows up for search terms of certain neighborhoods. Two is my videos posted to Yahoo. When I get listings that look good, I make a 2-3 minute video and post it to Yahoo video with appropriate title and tags. At the end of the video I include my contact info and website address. Result: people visit my site after they see my videos. Maybe someday Yahoo will cut me a break.

Unlike Google, yahoo updates its SERP's every 2 week's or so..so it might take them sometime to index you, my blog got indexed in yahoo 2 months after I got indexed in Google
Posting videos doesn't really affect your SE ranking's but links from a place like REW would help.
My two cents, concentrate on Google but don't forget about the others, relying on one source for traffic is a major risk and i don't recommend it
Although you probably wont get as half as the traffic Google is getting you but at least you'll have a backup if something comes up.
