The palm graphic is quite a highlight. It's definitely beautiful, but it's also so bright that it feels a bit overwhelming. I also just finished in LEC 4 custom color scheme (
http://dev82.rewtemplates.com/ ) and mine is definitely much more low key ( feedback welcome ).
I might tone down the use of red in the lower half of the page, so that it's only the top banner that uses the really bright red, and down below the headings could use more dark brown/reds like the heading on the left nav bar.
