The most proactive brokerages make a quality web space available to their separate agents. That "space" might be a page on the brokerage's site that is editable by the agent and displays the agent's listings, with captured leads going to that agent.
"...allowing the agent and brokerage to develop domain authority together..."
Or it might be more complex, with the agent having their own website. This might be a subdomain of the parent site, allowing the agent and brokerage to develop domain authority together. Or the agent can have their own domain, using an approved, discounted template with company logos and colours.
This module creates a page that lists your agents/staff with thumbnail photos and contact info. The agents appear in random order and are searchable by name.
Each agent's photo/name is clickable, leading to a page with that agent's bio information and his/her own listings. Leads captured on this page are automatically assigned to the agent.
Some agents register a domain containing their own name, and they setup a (free) redirect with their domain registrar, pointing that site to their page on your site. This way, it's easy for them to send clients straight to their listings, etc.
Cost: $500 one-time setup
(Requires your REW site to be on the 3.x or 4.x platform)
We'll make a scaled-down version of your site available to each of your agents for only $10 a month each. Their site appears as a subdomain of your brokerage site (e.g., "cheryl.companysite.com"), and also maintains continuity with its design, but the content is managed by the agent in their own CMS.
A benefit to the brokerage is that the content created by the agent for their subdomain, contributes to the domain as a whole (lead generation, search engine authority).
With this solution, the agents can create their own IDX snippets and put them onto pages they create on their own subdomain site. For example, Billy might be your star condo seller, and he might create pages on his "site" dedicated to condos in each town/neighbourhood, pulling relevant (regional) listings onto each of those pages. His pages would attract leads on behalf of the brokerage, and he would capture the leads in his own lead management account.
Or, Cheryl might specialize in the Podunksville area of the city. Her subdomain will feature a page for each neighbourhood in that area, with IDX snippets pulling the right listings onto each area's page.

$10 / month / subdomain is the only cost if your site is an LEC5, or an updated (v3.x+) template or LEC2-4. If you have a non-3.x site, you also need to pay for the custom code development. (If you're not sure what you have, just ask our Support department.)
Cost: $10 / month / per subdomain, plus possible custom development time.
Another popular solution involves setting up a basic REW template with your company's branding, and re-producing it for each agent at a reduced rate (VERY reduced, if you have a lot of agents). The benefit here is that the agents can replace their existing sites (on their own domains) with the REW template, branded for your business, with all its functionality, including an integrated IDX. Brokers appreciate the consistent standard for branding and quality across their agents' web properties, and can also require each agent to link back to the brokerage site from their footer.
Cost: To be negotiated with a dedicated REW salesperson. Usually, the cost of the initial branded template is covered by REW, and each agent site is offered at reduced costs in exchange for an assurance of quantity. If it's desirable to setup a more customized version of the agent templates, this may be billed to you.
