Default .jpg Images/ virtual tour and SEO

Does naming your .jpg images and virtual tours with keywords make any difference for SEO?

I currently host some virtual tours and large .jpg home image tours on my primary site. Is there any SEO advantage or disadvantage to hosting them on another server?

No, there is no difference either way. Search engines don't look at image file names (only ALT tags).

That isnt correct at all - naming your images will help for "image search" you know when you do a search for something on google and click on "images" but from an onpage perspective it will not help bolster your content in any way.

Really though, you should not do this anyways - you should be naming an image what it is, not a keyword. Eventually (And this is much the way it is now) search engines will figure out the "quality" of the site, not "the site with the most keywords in the most places" - as such you should do everything for your user, not the search engine, if your site is the best, it will shine (Disclaimer: Not to say doing SEO is bad, because that is how I make my living, just saying not a fan of cramming keywords everywhere)

He was asking if it helped for SEO purposes, which I took to mean web search. I don't know of many people concerned about showing up high in the image search results.
