Default New Home Search Engine

I am new here so this might be a dumb question, but I searched and couldn't find any answers. I am building a new website and would like to include a search engine for new homes in the area. Has anyone else done this and what are some of the top search engines for this? Do I pay to use their search? How does this work? Thanks for any help.

I think Realtor.com came up with a pretty good search engine for homes

Each state also has it's own MLS or MLS's that Realtors can buy into. I'm not sure if you can buy the service without being a Realtor (I hope not)
The cost is around $400 a year in my state. You then have to either hire someone to do your programming or do it yourself to actually search through all the data.

The other option is just to IFRAME someone elses search as I did with permission from my brokers site on one of my older realestate sites.

Thanks for the reply. I am a Realtor and plan to use my MLS's IDX to search for existing homes. I was really wondering if there was a way to search new homes(i.e. builders) in the same fashion.

Ahhhh NEW homes. Sorry to be a smart A$$ in my last post.

Thats a pain in the rear. What's new this month is not new next month. A very difficult database to maintain because things change so quickly.

I have a hard time just keeping track of what's new in my local area, So many brokers and developers keep new projects off the MLS.

I wish you luck and if you figure it out let met know.

That depends on the data available in your field, however typically new construction is not available (Pre-construction I mean)
