Default Web title and directory title match?

I am looking to start submitting to Directories and was doing some research since I do not want to have to redo anything

In reading an article in Position High.com the following quote was in the article regarding directory submissions:

"Since the title MUST be the official title of the site and it must be used on your pages, this might require you to change the name of your site."

Sounds to me that I need to have the title of my directory listing the same as the title of my page. Is this correct? I have not found many people doing this, or am I missunderstanding this sentence?

That is just a misinformed article - each directory has their own unique terms of service and requires you to abide by them if you want your submission to be accepted - if a directory tells you to do that, then do it - if a directory tells you to do something else, then do the something else

So, do you find it best to submit your self or use a service? I was thinking of having best-web-directories submit to part of the directories (they offer 200 for $46) and doing the rest myself.

Any input on this?

Any deal that sounds to good to be true usually is - that deal sounds WAY to good to be true - it takes about 15 minutes to add yourself to a directory manually (If you know where to look and have done it before) - so that means they either are charging you less than $1 per hour for labor, or their submissions are to crappy worthless directory that allow automated submissions and arent even worth the time.

IMO - do it yourself and focus on quality not quantity - there are probably on 50 good real estate related directories out there worth being in, and in most cases - they have a paid option that allows one way links which if you are serious about SEO is what I would opt for.

Very good info. A new forum member had mentioned the $49.00 for 200 directory listings and I had reservations on the idea of it. Initially, I thought it was a good idea but then began thinking that these entries are for the most part, for life! Didn’t want to screw it up! Anyway, we are serious about SEO, so we will go with the paid submissions. You mention ’50 directories.’ Is there a list out there that is recommended?
