Can anyone recommend a database system similar to an MLS to manage a brokerages rental properties and display them on a website?

Rather than create something from scratch I was wondering what other people were using.

Some features that would be nice would include a calendar that showed which months/weeks the homes were available, good pictures of the homes, google maps with locations, prices etc...

I think there is a lot of OK stuff out there, but I doubt there is anything with Google maps etc - you might be able to hack something open source - we have the technologies (Rental calendar and submission software) but they are on 2 different applications, if there was enough call for it, we could build the application pretty easily - question: is this for an REW hosted site?
