I hit a speed bump in my real estate career. After I earned my conditional license I signed with my broker, Global One Realty....I didn't know that the company was involved in some "pyramid" scheme. I want out,I don't want anything to do with the broker. How do I present that I want out of their company to them? I honestly think it's best for me to just continue my education in real estate before putting alot of money into becoming a Realtor & joining MLS.

Its easy. You say "I want out" then you go find anohter company. I personally like Prudential but thats just me.

Nope, Just say "take my license off your wall so I can hang it in another office"
Easy as pie. You might also want to give your local association of Realtors a quick call to make sure you don't have anything else you have to do, but the whole process should take less than 5 minutes.

Generally you have a certain period of time so you can choose a broker or you may have to make your license inactive. You are an independent contractor so it is easy to switch. First, find the company that is the right fit for you, then tell your broker to forward your license to the new broker. Don't do anything until you check with your local or state board and know the correct procedure. You should be able to find the info online.

Well I don't want to have it hung at any other broker at the moment. I feel that it is important for me to continue my education in real estate at the moment.

No better way to learn than by doing. I made a good deal of $$ this year in real estate sales and quite honestly it was my first year and I don't know much about real estate other than how to make people come to my website to look at homes. If I don't have a good answer to a question for a client I can usually make a few phone calls and get them the answer. I would have hated myself if I had put this off for another year to study.

Part of the reason why I think I should continue studying is the $$$ involved w/ signing up for MLS and becoming a Realtor. I'm 19,still in college and handing out $3k right now for something I honestly think I should continue studying for isn't a priority if it doesn't have to be.
