OK i had a link to my real estate site for over 7 months from Wikipedia and had no problems. Then one day some admin comes along and deletes it stating it is a commercial site. My site is www.cedarcityonline.com and it provides both Real Estate and General Cedar City area information. I also dont sell anything on the site and provide a MLS search without making people sign up to get it or anything like that. It is always completely at the digression of the visitor if they contact me. Is there anything I can do to stop the over zelous nazi admins at Wiki from removing my link?

What is your interpretation of a "commercial" site?

Falcon,
Thx for all your help. I agree with you though I am screwed. Admin=Dead in wiki. I give up and thx for your help |

If it is not locked a "locked" page, anyone can remove an external link from Wiki, not just an admin.

It is an admin removing the link. Basically the guy is what I would call a wikignome. He seriously sits on Wiki all day looking for reasons to remove an external link.

Try and go a little deeper into the categories, but accept that you will not stay forever.
I have had varying success from removed within half an hour to being on site for over 6 months but remember that it is not only the admins who can remove, your competitors can also remove and replace with their own link/s |

Wikipedia now has no follow tags so speaking in seo terms you will no longer get link credit for them. Commercial sites are almost always removed.
