If i have a site and a search engine looks at the content would an rss feed do the same as a blog would. I have a new site and want fresh content all the time.

I guess what i am asking would a rss feed From like inman news or dallas morning new real estate. Or should i pay for An seo company to install a blog that has an rss feed.

Neither - Really are all that great - RSS feeds are dup content so unless that feed benefits your users, I would not bother with it. Also you typically give away a ton of links to RSS feeds.

What I would do instead - Install a blog on YOUR OWN site and have the RSS feed on the main page leading into the blogs and constantly post new unique and compelling content.

At the end of the day, while we are all looking to be as efficient as possible, SERPs tend to give credi to things that take time, effort and creativity--(read: creating original content on your site).

The RSS feeds are great ways to distribute your info to others, but as was said above, the dup content issue arises...The best way seems to be to construct the blog well and post TONS of original, quality content.

Not easy, but effective...

Yes. I have had much better success with the G bot and others through having unique content instead of really simple syndicate feeds...I guess that’s how the engines see them to. As Eric said, content is king and rss feeds drive visits to the linked destination (away from your site-webmaster stated this as well). When I need content, I call up my copywriter who I found through a freelance service on the internet. She is generally cheap and provides decent articles when I have the extra money to spend.
