This may be a stupid question, but how come when you do a search for say

"boulder real estate"

Certain sites have a small link below the main one saying map of....(bold below)

Boulder Real Estate | Boulder Colorado Homes for Sale | North ...Serving Boulder, Louisville, Longmont and neighboring communities.
Map of 4770 Baseline Rd, Boulder, CO 80303

...sorry dont know how to do screen caps!

It might have to do with business registered with google in the business directory.

at the bottom of the page, one of your sites www.boulderhomesource.com and move2boulder.com

it only seems to show up in IE not firefox.

I figured it was a directory thing, I just had never seen that before.

That is really strange, I don't see it, must be a geolocated thing - my guess would be, because we use the google mapping API that it is showing that - just a guess though

doesnt know how - colorado, all you do is pull up the search page that is doing that and press print screen (to the right of f12) that takes the screen shot, then you can paste it into any image editor (Even paint) and save it as an image

Google sometimes displays a full Google map with a business name. These are "Google Local" business ads, possibly also linked to an AdWords PPC ad. You can check this out on Google in their advertising info. When they only suggest a map, but have the business address, I would suspect that this is also a limited presentation of a Google Local business entry.

Try this search: hemet ca real estate

I've seen this as well and can not figure out what causes google to add the map link. I've taken a screen capture so that those who have not seen it can take a look.

And here is what it looks like when you expand it by clicking on the +

Yep, you are seeing a locally geo-targeted Google Local business ad with PPC. This is sort of like a "Super AdWords" ad. Obviously more text in the ad itself, plus the map.
