Default Paid submission

Does anyone have any feedback on www.directoryvault.com After paying them to submit my site LizVossRealEstate and following up on the submission list they provided I'm beginning to have my doubts. I paid for the special 100 pr5+ submissions and the 25 pr6-pr8. Thinking I would be purchasing seperate submissions to 125 directories only now find out the seperate purchase of 25 pr6-pr8 links are included in the 100 pr5+ submissions, and my site has yet to show up on any of the directories. They were quick to take my money and answer questions, but now I cannot get a reply. Since then I have read several postings and have to agree with the general consensus that it is a waste of money. Any recommendations.
Joel

Please don't put links to sites with outbound links to casino/online gambling sites. You should also take it that a directory that links to those types of sites might not be the kind of people you want to do business with.

I've never used them so I can't comment directly on their service but I do directory submissions myself, and have used other services. It can take quite awhile for the submissions to show up depending upon the review times for each individual site so not having them show up immediately isn't necessarily an indictment of the company.

I don't use submission services anymore because of the quality of the directories, some submissions were for directories that required a reciprocal link, many we're owned by the same individuals on the same IP's and alot of those looked to be throw away sites or at least brand new.

IMO, it's best to do it yourself... get a copy of RoboForm or something similar, generate a list of directories that you feel are worthwhile and follow up by checking in periodically. I'd also encourage you not to be too concerned with the visible pr.

It definetly takes some time...maybe 2 months before all the engines pick up most of those links. I can say that these types of link schemes are frowned upon by google and can hurt your site if it is involved with a "shared hosting" plan and another website is participating in these link schemes. I watched the Big G slip one of my sites towards the back after applying some of this to one of my completly non related real estate sites. If your goals are to dominate Yahoo and MSN, I have to say these types of programs generate some decent results. However, if you are in it for the long haul, just develope content, content, content!

Choosing the right directories to submit is as important as, if not more important than, directory submission itself.
