Has anyone observed Flickr ? I would love to see this concept incorporated in to our REW blogs, or as a separate entity all together. The tags, the links to internal pages, etc can be as beneficial or more so than an article I would think. At least easier to set up, there is no intense writing needed, just simple keyword tags and links to where they need to go.

I would love to be able to go in to a neighborhood and take a dozen pictures of the neighborhood and the park inside the neighborhood, etc to show off to my viewers. People LOVE pictures to express and show a point (a picture is worth a thousand words).

I would set up an album of separate condo complexes so people could get a feel for the personality of each, an album of down town Memphis, the river, Collierville, etc. etc. Collierville has their historical Old Towne Square, an album of it would be nice --- being able to link to my internal Collierville pages with each picture would be nicer, tagging keywords that are search-able and indexable would be the bomb.

I signed up, it appears easy to use and edit and appears from my humble appearance to have the potential for very good linking, SEO benefits, and viewer benefits (the important one). It says that they do not allow advertising or promotion of commercial products, services or self promotion, or I would be apt to just use their service as-is.

Is the one on Manna's website interactive to where he can change photos without programming help?

I like the idea of Flickr with the tags, keyword usage, links to other pages, etc. Heck I could have a picture of Chicago's skyline and a key word link to Mert's home page (easy content link exchange).
Maybe I am over estimating the possible benefits of quickly being able to add nice looking content the viewers like, with keyword benefits, tags, links to other pages, etc.
Would this not be beneficial in the same manner as other ideas (blogs, articles, etc)?

I like the idea of a slide show being editable on our side, that is defiantly cool.

However, is there not potential for good SEO work on an album page with thumbnails and descriptions, keywords for each picture, links to internal pages, links to other relevant websites?

Has anyone been promoting any form of a swicki tag cloud? I just set one up over at swicki dot eurekster dot com. Just was curious if anyone has seen any benefits from using something like this. Maybe another add on to the REW blog? Just threw it up on my blog today, we'll see if anything happens. I'm trying to determine a quick way to advertise this swicki.

That is what they have on Flickr as well. It is a nice way to search the photos they have. I like it. It is a very nice feature if you have a lot of items that are search-able under different categories.
