I have a beta of my new Austin Area IDX/MLS search available. It uses my own custom Google maps solution. Let me know what you think. Also, please add it to the directory. It still needs some work, but i think it is a candidate for the "featured Austin MLS listings website."

Ummmm I don't think it is unique - Check out http://www.adealhome.com/map-search.php - you have a ways to go, feel free to use it as inspiration - Also I tried to use your map search with firefox and it did not work, just timed out.

You say I have a ways to go. Obviously there are some bugs I need to work out, but are there any specific features that I am missing? My site seems to have a similar search to the one you mentioned, although my design is still very bare. Any other feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Haha, too bad Adeal has done virtually no deals in the last 6 months. IMHO, his website is just too much and very confusing. I showed it to some friends of mine and they were struggling to figure out what to do there.

Btw, our standard free IDX is very good. It just doesn't allow predefined searches and has no log-in capabilities. Searching by map is pretty useless anyway. It only comes in handy when you've selected the MLS area, found the homes you like and want to place them on the map. It's too confusing doing it the other way.

Wow laughing at someone's failure, not only unprofessional, certainly not the kind of thing we want to see here at REW. Austin, you repeatedly jump in to threads just to belittle people and put them down, and rarely have anything nice to say. I have had enough of you, you are not welcome here any longer.
