Do whatever you need to in order to keep your social currency. Use your market influence to push other profitable business ventures (perhaps indirectly).

Killer. I have been criticized, by my peers, for my wordy (long) home page but I have been reluctant to change because clients compliment it. I am vindicated at last.
Now to make it purdy.

Friends' opinions simply don't matter unless they are looking to buy real estate from you. I completely agree with Dan here. I also have a "wordy" site, but we sell millions of dollars in real estate every year from website leads and clients.

Informative article! i think its better to write for the reader and work hard on off-page optimisation. Otherwise, what good is a visitor who only stays 5 seconds?

I've always thought it best to break up really long pages into several. To me it like reading from a scroll as compared to a book. A scroll is easy to get lost in and it is difficult to find something. If there are 3 pages instead of one really long one, I think it is easier for a user to find what they need.

Hi Sam,
I agree with you. My current sites homepage looks like a hodge podge. I need to break it up with h2's and h3's. Caesar |

Great link, I tend to like the longer pages as well.
