Default My First Seminar

I am planning my first seminar for interested home buyers. I hope to collaborate this seminar/workshop with a loan officer - but if that fails I will need to speak a little on financing options, plans, etc. Any one have or know where I might be able to get some kind of "Basic review" or FAQ type list of issues involved with obtaining financing - i dont want to skip something too basic and dont want to hit something to detailed . . .

I also plan to discuss the following . . .

--How I'll search for your home, FSBO[MAYBE MAYBE NOT - any suggestions?]
--Contract Basics (offers, counteroffers, additional terms & contingencies)
--Ratified Contract and Ernest Money Deposit
--Home & Termite Inspection (cost, structure vs cosmetics, request for repairs)
--Closing Choices - Title comp vs. Attorney
--Additional Money: Home Warranty,

Any ideas for other topics?

How are you advertising to get people to attend your seminar?

I can't offer much advice but I would like to know what your results are. Be sure to let us know how it turns out.

I think you have a grand idea of conducting a seminar. One thing I remember reading in one of the dozens of Books I read before deciding to enter the career of being a real estate agent was that sometimes your first seminar may not have a great turn out. However, if this happens to be the case for you, which it may not be at all, don't give up! What you want to do is impress your attendees with your vast knowledge and generosity, and you can bet they will be sure to tell their friends. You can also bet that any future seminars will be attended by more people.

Again, I don't expect your seminar to fail, but just wanted to put this little tidbit of information in the pot while we were on the topic!

You may want to check out Mr. Real Estate - George Paukert. He used to generate tons of leads doing buyer seminars:
