Hello,
I'm a techie guy who has been requested by a friend to help her setup a telemarketing station here in Toronto, Canada. Since I'm not in the field, I really don't know about the legalities, donotcall, lists, etc. I'd like to know a little about this from an agent in Toronto. What's an easy way to telemarket in full compliance with the laws? Do we have to do anything like register with some body(ies) before we commence marketing her services? We'd probably have 2-3 telemarketers calling on her behalf. Is that allowed? My plan is something very less-invasive. Something like a call that if answered, will play an automatic message (recorded by the agent) with an option to connect to a live person to 'chat'. If unanswered, the system will leave a voicemail with some details, and a return contact number. Is something like this allowed? To summarize, what needs to be considered to run something like this? Mods, if I put this in the wrong category, please accept my humble apologies. |
