Hey i have a question is paying the 699 a year worth the traffic you get from there 150 directories they sign you up for. Would i get link love also.

What matters is whether the pages of those directories where those links will go are indexed by google or not. Chances are many are not. I'd run a test on 20 of them and make a decision on that or ask them specifically if they can tell you how many of the pages where your link would be are indexed and then to make an offer to them accordingly. They are business people too....

That is a pretty high price tag. But I would say if you are going to be getting traffic from it and you land a sale or 2 then it will be worth the buy. As far as link love goes, you may get some benifit because the links are related to what you do. I also agree with jseville that the you want to make sure that those pages are indexed well by the search engines. Also check the cache dates of those sites, if google has not cached them in say 2 months or so then I would avoid going with them.

I would base it on the traffic potential first, not counting on the links, if you get link love from them then it is an added bonus. You could of course check the backlinks of a person already listed and see if the links are being counted in their link:

Morgan the problem with that is , I have links show up from here, But i am told they dont matter. Is there a way to tell if they are helping me or just a wash

Keep an eye on your rankings, if you are not seeing improvment in ranking then it may not being any good. However, it will also depend on how long you have had those links, if you just got them a few days I would not expect much, if they have been there for a few months and you still have not seen any improvment then you may want to move on to something else. Check the links in the source code for a "rel=no follow" tag to make sure that the spiders are following those links to your site.

Here is a thought. Do any of the 150 directories show up for ANY of the keywords you target? At least in the top ten??

If not those sites will not be sending you traffic, so they are not worth $700.

Most of the Reals network uses redirects and or pages that are not indexed so you are not buying 150 links that have value, maybe a few and that is it.

that is what i was thinking, I know i am doing rtight the way i am doing it because i see morgan links in alot of directories i have signed up for.

I got the plan where you get listed in 10 directories about 1 year ago. I am seeing backlinks from 4 of the directories today. I hope this helps you know what link value you will get.

The funny thing is, if that company would just open up the directories for regular submissions and not ask for links pointing back to their homepage they would make alot more money.
