We're going to record our Home Buyer & Listing Appointments on CD so that our new (and experienced) agents can learn the appointments more effectively. Does anyone have any recommendations for audio editing software? Basically, I need to be able to record the audio & then break it into tracks for the CD.

Try out audacity. It should do everything you need and it's free. I used it for a few radio commercials last year.

I record music and such with Acid Music Studio. You can record listings and put music behind it or just the listings. It's really easy.

Don't open up that can of worms..... I used to "borrow" all of my programs till I started using them for business. Now I actually pay for everything I use.

Acid is not cheap. If you want to know some of the best stuff on the market try Reason. http://www.propellerheads.se/ It's what my techno band brother uses for their music recording. It's not cheap either and will take you a month to figure out.

If you want quick free and easy Audacity is great! You can drop in background music, add 50+ effects, import, export etc... On top of that it's quick and easy to learn. Plug in a Mic and you are ready to go.

Hehe, Coastal, my comment was more in response to his Kazaa remark. I do agree you are better off buying them if it's for business reasons. However, you can get the 30 day free trial of Acid and I believe you can do everything you can with the full version.

You can buy Acid for about 50 - 60 bucks at London Drugs. I don't think that's too bad. The package comes with tons of stuff... and I find it very user friendly.

I'm going to try out Audacity first, since it's free - also, I don't really need a ton of features, just some basic functionality to break up a recording into tracks. This is just going to be me giving a buyer's presentation, listing presentation & on a few mock ad calls for our new agents to listen to. Who knows - maybe I can email it to Coastal & he can put a good house beat behind it.
