Default Using MLS in the URL

Hey all, my broker seems to think that using the abbreviation in my url of mls is not acceptable. I call the PAR(pennsylvania assisiation of realtors) and they said that at this time there is no issue with it but they where concerned that a competetor may report it as deceptive practice, meaning people may think its the "official mls of the area. Any thoughts before I pull the plug on this, my broker is telling me to pull the plug.

I blogged about this some time ago 5408 views for that sucker WOOT! http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/...carey/58/show/

It is really up in the air, and I would certainly have a contingency place in case your board changes their mind like they have to so many others.

However, if you have not invested to much in that domain name, I would suggest avoiding the headache and just get a new one.

Stay away from it. Your mls will change the rules and you will be out all the work you put in.

The deed is done, I have a new domain, my 301 redirects are in place. I have one question. Do I have to re submit the new site to the directories such as yahoo, or will the 301 redirect handle that?

Thanks for the responses.

You should inform all link partners, and directories of the change and request that they change the URL to the new URL
