Data seems to be the issue. Can anyone suggest a good data source besides title books? It seems like if you try to purchase info america(sales genie) you need to have a San number for each area code. I heard equifax and experian are providing pretty good data with a hefty price.

Kevin...
Please be fore-warned... I am a commercial data provider.. Yes... data is expensive by any standard... if you want some sample data let me know the state/city you are interested in. It would also help to know your target market like tract numbers or mortgage values or anything that identifies your market of interest. With this information I can customize your data to your specific needs. As for a good information source I suggest you Google the US Census Bureau. They have a fantastic amount of information directly related to real estate... particularly at the census track level. Here you can find median income as well as specific mortgage evaluations by tract number. All this information is down loadable in delimited formats. Here is my ad for Craigslist in San Francisco. It tells you what I can do. By my last count I am probably the lowest priced data seller around who can build phone lists at the (any)state level. ************************************************** ****** Need a phone list for California? How about for Congressional Districts? Census Tracts? Cities? Counties? I can sell you, for as little as 2 cents per address, any state phone list and deliver the list in the format of your choice? I guarantee the phone data to be legally licensed for public use and likewise will guarantee the data to be accurate and immediately usable. If you need to customize your phone list by adding census data (e.g. average income per tract or average mortgage per tract ) I can do that too. Bottom line is... I can sell you any state wide phone list in America and qualify that phone list with US Census data of any kind. I can also integrate county property databases into the same dataset. If you can beat my 2 cents per record rate then by all means take it. You have truly found a data bargain. Please contact Jim ====> josborne@wildbue.net |
