How many H1 and H2 tags should you have.. can you have to many?

You should use 1 h1, and 2 h2.

I use 1 and 1 and see what happens unless I have a big page. That's what my sponsor at Over Optimizers Anonomous said to do

I use them as they were meant to be used.

The H1 should contain the most general keyword phrase for your page and announce your page,

then use H2's each time you have a paragraph with new topic on that page, of course they will all be related to the pags theme.

Here is an example of a page I optimized for "lipitor information" http://www.abconlinepharmacy.com/ns/...nformation.php
it is very simple but it supposed to be, I still have some writing to do, but you see the basic format.

H1 then h2 then content on left links on right

You will also not there are pages to more information about "lipitor" related information, makes the page appear to be a viable resource

With these new test results ( while not making it fact ) suggesting h2 tags are weighted more heavily, is it still ok to use several of them?
