OK, before you judge too harshly, I'm putting together this site while I'm in the process of getting my license.Hence no broker or pic yet. I'm looking for first-time home buyers. I will be doing a direct mail postcard with the site on it plus a strategic placing of bandit signs(yes they work ). This site is strictly a "call to action" site. I'm using the "kiss" method, (Keep it simple). I do have experience from a loan officer side and found that too much information can keep them away. In their mind if they know everything about you from your site, why call you?
BTW I have NOT promoted this site yet. Any suggestions?????? http://www.a2zhomesonline.com/ |

Hey Tim,
Welcome to REW. I personally would ditch this page: http://www.a2zhomesonline.com/Links.html I have had a Point2 site since 2004 and removed mine right away.

Welcome to the forums.
Sorry to be so negative...the site needs a lot of work. As Nick mentioned, the color combinations are not great (very hard on the eyes). I would ditch this template and go with a CSS based site. As well, when you do get there, move all of your scripts and styling into external files so that they are not bloating your index source code.

What is it you want the customer to do?
To a potential client, it's not clear. Obviously you want them to contact you, but you haven't told me why I should pick you. I would focus on two things: 1. Copywriting - try something more powerful than "I Turn Home Seekers Into Home Owners." Anyone can do that. Focus on the benefits. Can you save them more money on their home? Can you get them into a home faster? Does you real estate/mortgage experience provide an advantage? Pick a more powerful benefit and turn the attention from you - "I Turn..." - to your customer. 2. Page Layout - Your form fields aren't titled, but I'm sure you're getting to that. More importantly, the eye gets lost. There are unbalanced images and irregular spacing. Also, I think I count 5 different fonts styles or sizes. Try to stick to no more than 2. A restructuring of your elements and some powerful copywriting will help you get going. |

I agree with everything that has been written. What stuck out to me immediately was the combination of different fonts. The large center font makes the site look unprofessional. You do not have to use all 3 columns on your P2 site and I never did.
Get rid of the weather thing (& the entire right column) and see if the site doesn't look cleaner & more professional. If you insist on using the little weather graphic, balance it in one of the other columns (some P2 templates allow content under the left nav menu). Right now it looks very unbalanced and very unprofessional. It just doesn't flow. If I were a buyer or seller I'd click off the site immediately.

Well you certainly have made it easy for someone to contact you, it is all over the home page
, Not sure I like the colors but otherwise it is a pretty good site.

I would remove the hidden text links from the bottom of your home page. But hey, that's just me.
