Wow... I was pleasantly surprised when doing a check with our analytics that we have already been indexed by Google and we just went live with our www.SuburbanVillageRealty.com site on 3/14/07. From what I remember with our Advanced Access sites, it took well over six months to be listed by Google. A little over 2 weeks with a www.RealEstateWebmasters.com site... wow, I'm impressed to say the least.

Congrats on getting indexed! The best way IMO to get indexed is to get inbound links from well ranked sites. Even a couple of those will do the trick.

The days of "submit and pray" have been over for a LONG time.

Google is in the business of creating relevant results out of sites that have popularity in relevant sites. When they see someone (another site) take notice of yours, they index it.

Keep in mind, that "indexed" and "ranked" are 2 different things. Getting indexed is just a function of links that get spidered often pointing to you (Active Rain, REW Blogs and forums high quality directories etc) getting ranked is a whole new kettle of fish.

Yes... getting ranked is another story but I'm impressed that Google already indexed our pages when the site has only been live for a little over two weeks. In the past with Advanced Access sites, it took well over six months.... of course, I've never had a REW site before.... I feel like I've gone from driving a Volkswagon to a Ferrari!

It's kind of tough to get some contextual exchanging done with quality sites if your pages are not even indexed in Google.
