Default UK Real Estate

Hi - UK Mortgages are now regulated by the Financial Services Authority - so we have to be ultra strict on compliance. The ammount of paperwork per transaction is enormous, then after it's completed we have to keep records for 6 years. Do you have similar regulations where you are?
Also our site is getting 10 new enquiries per day, our average loan is £60,000 as we are into Social Housing which is Government Discounted, all of this is via the website and referalls. How does that compare to the US markets? Regards to all David
