Hey Guys,
Wasn't sure where to post this... One of my email addresses can't send email to any msn.com account. It get's returned everytime with an error that states: 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1) Our email is hosted by REW, so I hope you can help. Thanks, Liz Morganroth |

Hi Liz,
This issue is caused by attempting to relay mail through our server. This happens when you send mail from your computer ( through an email client ) Due to the amount of spammers on the internet - Our server does not allow mail to be relayed. The solution to this problem would be to use your ISP's SMTP server to send outgoing mail. Thank you, |

to further this, my ISP is shaw.ca so I would have
Incoming mail: mail.mydomain.com Outgoing mail: mail.shaw.ca

Hi Aaron,
The problem is that my ISP is Cox and they don't allow me to send email from their outgoing server unless I am at home. If I am my office, I can't relay mail from the cox SMTP mail server, if I am at home I can. To work around this, Thomas had me put mail.desertswgroup.com as my SMTP server. this works unless I am home and then I can't send mail. I work from home 50% of the time, so it is getting a little frustrating. I know this isn't your issue, it is Cox's issue, I just don't understand why they have this rule... Grr. I call them and they basically tell me "to bad, this is our rule to keep the bad guys out" . My workaround right now is to switch the SMTP settings to be pop.west.cox.net when I am home and mail.desertswgroup.com when I am home. A huge pain, but I don't see anyother way, do you? Liz |

I have been doing that, but it seems to cause confusion with my clients. I received 3 emails from 3 seperate people asking why my email address changed and where should they send mail to, etc..
I just can't win! ![]() |

What I'm saying, is use the same email address, same inbound for both accounts.
Just have them differ in the outgoing server.
