Default Community Landing Pages

Quoted from Google:

And whatever you do, do not include a navigation bar on your landing pages - it's completely unrelated to your sale and can dramatically lower your conversion rate.
What do you guys think about having your community pages void of any other community information? Personally, I notice that when a user lands on one of my community pages, they scan through within 20 seconds, hit the for sale link and that's pretty much it.

They go to the landing page looking for information on THAT community, so having this page void of any other links to communities across the city would seem logical.

On the other hand - having links to nearby communities may help the user discover where they want to live. It will give them a feel for what's in the area.

What do you think?

Steve - hard to tell IF you recognize what the Google quote refers to is PPC landing pages ...

A landing page for PPC campaigns has one goal - visitor registration. There should be no Nav bar or other page links ....

On the other hand, many of my community pages are interlinked to other nearby communities, for a couple of reasons
