Hey one of my competitors is set up in some sort of link exchange through Keller Williams. www.thesmithteam.org They rank #1 for St. George real estate based solely on the links this exchange is giving them. If any of you are agents at KW's I would try and get into this. It wont last forever but for the time being you could probally get some decent rankings.

I think in light of recent developments, I will have to pass on any further reciprocal type link exchange programs, no matter how good they might be in the short run.

The off chance that Google has something cooking more than what they currently have done is enough to put me on hold at least temporarily.

Could you imagine getting into that hook line and sinker and have your rankings shoot up in a short period of time only to be later crushed by dropping 3 - 5 pages because of too many recip links?

I find it more difficult as far as time is concerned to create a better and more diverse linking strategy, but, it does seem to me that there are certainly alternatives to recip linking to increase rankings.
