Default How do you "use" your site

hello again,
I'm just a posting freak today. Lots of ideas in my head after my first day of class. I'm hoping to bring my IT knowledge and use it to better my real esate business (once i get licensed). I'm hoping to get leads from my site. I live near a military community. Many of the people relocating here are military and they are usually coming from far away places. I'm hoping to market to the military communities and drive traffic to my site from people that are relocating and trying to get a jump start on their house hunting. From what I see, lots of sites are just information pages about the agent, like a little bio and stuff, nothing really strong in the sense of grabbing the attention of a buyer. So I guess my question is, is your websites designed to just support your business or is it a source of business?

Thanks,
Angela

Use the military base's name as a keyword your targeting, as well as surrounding towns that people may look for in their web searches.

actually, the army also has a program that you can add your listing to their "house for sale database". It's to assist with the househunting process. For us, it would have been 1 year wait to get "free army housing" so the army set up this database to add your listing for either rentals or sales. I think it is a great program that I'm going to try to get listed it. It's a different then the MLS.

Sounds like a good way to get a listing sold, but listings may not be as easy to get as buyers.

I agree, a buyer lead is a much easier aquistion than a seller lead.
