Default PR loss

A bit of a different thread on PR loss. Back in Feb., in a moment's weakness, I crammed a high percentage of keywords into one particular paragraph on my homepage. It made gramatical sense, but it wasn't good SEO. (I hang my head in shame.)

The next day my PR dropped from 2 (it was a fairly new site, started at the very end of November) to a 0. I corrected the issue and waited.

My PR remained a 0 until yesterday. It is now a 2 again.

Whew!

If the cause of PR loss was bad SEO techniques, then I post this as a warning. If it was something else, you think, let me know.

This was (is) my investment real estate site.

In other good news, I've recenly reached 85 unique visitors a day to the site. Both this and my residential site are getting 325-350 unique visitors a month now, but the investor site is getting much more repeat visits, while the residential site gets about 13 unique visitors a day.

As for search results, I'm mostly getting "GO Zone" results and really need to broaden out into other investment terms.

Wade

Wade, stuffing keywords into a paragraph has nothing to do with it, it just so happened that you did it while Google is updating visible pagerank - watch it for a bit it will still go in and out, no big deal and not caused by your action.

Updating visible PR would cause it to show as 0 for two months? Including in all PR checkers?

I looked.

I'm surprised.

The density of keywords in a particular phrase has absolutely nothing to do with your PR, period. Pagerank is a link centric algorithm

Cool. I figured I had been penalized.

Thanks for the feedback.
