I'm considering picking up a couple city name related website names. I've noticed that there is a huge variety of what people use in the website name, from basic "<city>homes.com" to "<city>homevalues.com" or ones with "buy" or "realty" of course.

But my question is, if you could have had ANY real estate related domain name for your city, what do you think be the top picks?

ex. cincinnati __________ .com

Do you find value in separating out <city>condos, <city>rentals, etc?

Or if you wouldn't use the city name, though I'm not sure why not, i'd be curious to hear that to.

also what about <city>homesforsale.com or homesforsalein<city>.com?

If I could have any domain name for my city it would be atlantarealestate.com.

The guy who owns it wants $500,000 for it!

You need to either have something catchy, descriptive or KW relevant. A combination of the three would work best for me!

Wow $500,000 that's quite a few homes to sell to pay off that bill. I hardly think it is worth anywhere near that. Overpricing your commodity thinking it is worth more than it is, that never happens in our business thank goodness

It needs to be a factor of times earnings, like 5 times max for something really great. How much does that website name (By itself) make for the owner?

why is 500k overpriced... my website gets over 2.5 M hits a month... and makes our company all of its money from that site... so if you do it as a business... and as a cash flow... it might make perfect sense!? dont you think? A big City site might be worth more... I know the guys who own Galveston.com make millions a year... how much is that sitre worth?
