Default Embedding a map

Can I embed a google map (or yahoo, for that matter) on a content page?

Example: (take out the spaces to make the URL work)

http://abstusa. com/ca/agoura

thank, Mike

You mean like in the CMS? - You sure can.

I can set you up with a "snippet" that you can use to make them ...
( just have to lookup the long, lat ) for where you want the map to center.
Would be about 15 mins billable. To set up the first one.

How much Javascript do you know?

Which site is yours?

Hi Aaron,

My site is www. oahumls.net

Please go for it and setup the first snippet. How about starting with oahumls.net/palolo.php? I currently have a link to a yahoo map near the bottom of the page.

I don't know any javascript (I think) but am reasonably good at copying stuff and pasting it elsewhere. If you will provide some guidelines I'll probably be good from there.

The site I mentioned in my post is getting high google rankings just because they have good keywords, I guess. And maybe because of the maps. Not much info on their pages.

thanks, Mike

Hey Aaron,

Is this what you are talking about? The ability to embed a map similar to this? http://www.nanaimoinformation.com/di...breakfast.html

If so, I would be highly interested in that also. Setting up the first snippet code for my office address.

Here are the coordinates of my office:
Latitude 33.124259 °
N 33 ° 7' 27.3"
33 ° 7.4555' (degree m.mmmm)
Longitude -117.325537 °
W 117 ° 19' 31.9"
-117 ° 19.5322' (degree m.mmmm)

BTW I use this free program to find the coordinates:

I've been trying to set up a couple of maps on my new template. I used a site called donkeymagic.co.uk to create the javascript and then copied it into a content page via CMS, but it crapped out.

See the page (and code) here:

http://www.eau-claire-property.com/surround-test.php

I do have the API key from google.

Any ideas on why it doesn't work? Any chance I could get a snippet that works and modify/copy it as needed?

Aaron -

I am interested in this also. Could you please set up a snippet for my site as well. I already have a Google API key. With this snippet, would I also be able to add markers and the user can zoom and pan? Thanks.
