Required fields in contact forms

Is there an easy way to adjust my #contactform# to make a phone number a required field?

Sure, click on the snippet manager, find that snippet - click edit

Question is, do actually know how to do it? Or do you need assistance - the answer to your original question is "yes"

Perhaps I should rephrase it!

I have no idea how to make the telephone a required field...

How do I make it required.

I looked at the snippet and I could not see what the difference was between required and optional fields to add the required code to make it required.

Is this a work order or an easy fix for someone who knows what they are doing? (Not me, that's for sure)

Hi Ryan,

I've added Phone number as a required field. Are you receiving Spam from the contact forms?

I am getting quite a bit...

What I am finding is that the first name and the last name are duplicate from the spammers. If there was a way to recognize that and make them enter two different names it might help. I just delete them at this point.

I wanted the phone number so that I might be able to get a better lead capture over the phone...

By the way, thank you for making the phone number required.

I've got some contact forms that are spam proof.

- I could install but would be a 15 min billable time involved for me to do that. Shall I go ahead with that?

Exactly the same - just some extra coding to prevent the spam.
