Default Negotiating a Commission.

For the most part, do agents negotiate commission?

In Texas, commissions are not fixed, regulated or governed by anyone. Commissions are negotiable, but the success of that negotiability is determined by the level of services you'd like to receive from the real estate professional. In my experience, you get what you pay for.

I dont think comission in any state is fixed. For us the buyers comission is pretty much fixed, but on the sell its always negotiable.

I think Kentucky prohibits commission rebates, which is a different story altogether.
