This might be a dumb question, however I thought I would at least ask...

Does the REW Blog / Blog Editor for REW sites prohibit the inclusion of pictures? I've been paging thru several different blogs and have yet to really see one which included imagery or pictures anywhere within postings. This seems really odd to me since the real estate industry is a really visual one but all i've seen is a lot of text without any visuals whatsover. I can undertand going after the longtails with a lot of unique copy however imagery is often the hook that keeps people coming back.

My favorite blogs (which also seem to be very sticky) have a lot of imagery which makes me want to read more. For instance:

So what gives? Is this a technical limitation? Is the REW blog editor not WYSIWYG?

We can put pictures up at REW blog posts. Here are a couple examples of me. Depends on the post. If it's intended to have a niche audience one is trying to attract for prospecting, then pictures w/ appropriate titles are another SEO element to add to the post.

I would assume that if the goal is to attract and retain buyers (and also sellers), realtor blogs would be much more "image intensive".

Does anyone else have an opinion on this they would like to share?

Pictures are great, if you have pictures that relate. Inserting random clipart isn't always the best

Most people writing don't have a picture to link to. Or they don't think if they can use a picture

I find they almost ALWAYS make me read the entire article. It's some weird sub-conscious thing.

I agree totally.

Nothing attracts attention more then pictures supplied with posts, as pictures can be used to help describe/illustrate topics. Every article I write for myself always has at least 4-5 pictures which can be clicked on for hi-res photos, it keeps the masses happy and visiting/re-visiting threads even if they already read it just for the photos.

I've been trying to spruce up my blogs lately and the latest entries in my blog have pictures. One of the entries is funny and needed pictures, while the others have pictures for aesthetics and like Nick says, to add a little incentive to read further.
